Man Sentenced to 7 Years in Jail for Raping Daughter

New Delhi: A Delhi court has sent a man to seven years in jail for raping his minor daughter and trying to kill her when she disclosed the fact to others, saying he committed one of the most grave offences which could be imagined on earth.

The court also sent the man's 60-year-old brother to jail for seven years for attempting to kill the 16-year-old girl.

"The offence proved against the convict (father) is one of the most grave offences which can be imagined on earth. After committing rape on her daughter, he along with another convict (girl's uncle) tried to kill her to save his face.
